Goodwill Bins Got Me Trippin’
I took my first deliberate shopping trip to the bins today in Savannah, Ga. I invited the hubs along for the ride. The first time that I went to the bins was while my husband and I were in Orlando, or was it Charleston? Anyway, I thought we were going into a Goodwill retail store, so I was shocked when I walked in and saw people digging in blue bins. I was like, “What the heck?” We looked around and got out of there pretty quickly.
My trip today was a far cry from my first experience. We got there about 9:30 am, and we stayed for about 2 hours. I got some good stuff too! I’m so hooked. They sell everything by the pound there, so I made off with about 4 huge bags full of things for about $35. More profit for me! I’ll definitely be going back to the Goodwill bins.
We then headed over to a regular retail Goodwill store for more thrifting. I don’t know if I had any of the “color of the week” tags. I do know that thanks to the Goodwill app for my region, Loyal Trees, I had previously earned 50% off of my next purchase, which I used this time to save 50% off of my ticket! I ended up paying about $33 for 2 large bags of stuff. I felt like a champ!
