Lowe’s Valspar Makeover

I’ve had this table set for a while now, and my boys have long since outgrown it. I decided to tryout Lowe’s Valspar Color Radiance Spray paint and gift the table to my cousin’s little girl for her birthday. I first heard of Color Radiance while reading other blogs. Some bloggers said they had some success using it to cover plastic, so I decided to give it a try. My first impression was that the spray paint went on very well; like a mist. There was no drips. I applied 2-3 coats at different times. I underestimated how much I would need, and had to purchase another can of each color. During the process of making sure I had full coverage, the table set got easily scraped on various occasions. I decided to use a Rust-oleum enamel spray in an attempt to harden the Color Radiance.

Color: Destiny
Color: Passion Pink

The verdict: Not worth the effort! I’m not a fan of Color Radiance spray paint for plastic at all. I had to be extra cautious even after the table set had dried. Given the fact that the table was gifted to a toddler, I’m sure that it has fared much worse than when in my care. Lol! If only I had ordered my milk paint by then, I would have tried it instead!
