There aren’t too many pieces of clothing that I love more than a good coat or jacket. I don’t know why, because I live in Southeast Georgia where you can barely detect the changing of the seasons. This shoot was done on one of the handful of Winter days that actually gets cold enough for a coat.
I found this beautiful purple GAP coat from Goodwill. She called out to me from the rack. I’m training my eye to spot quality without having to touch it. This skill comes in handy when I want to view every last rack in the store…just to make sure!

The coat is lined with chartreuse satin that compliments the color of the coat. Love!

I paired the coat with a pair of Ann Taylor dress slacks that I got from Hope’s Closet Thrift down in Jacksonville, Florida; a camisole from my closet, a pair of Talbots heels from Name Brand Consignments that I purchased a few years ago, a purse from Citi Trends, and a locket necklace from non other than…wait for it… the Goodwill.
